Fancy a traditional fish, chips, mushy peas, slice of bread and butter and a pot of tea meal? Well Atkinsons still delivers this in spades. There are two parts to Atkinsons - the traditional fish and chip shop which sells good fish and chips and all the paraphenalia. And then the cafe attached to it, again serving food that has been cooked in the chippy.
They do great pensioner deals that always make me wish I was a few years older. And I love the retro appeal of the place and the meals. My only shock - last time I went they gave me half white, half BROWN bread! In a chippy! Brown bread. Well I'll go to the top of our stairs as they say round these parts.
In times when decent chippys are disappearing Atkinsons delivers a really decent plate of the golden crispy wonders. With peas of course. -

always the first port of call for Fish and Chips in Morecambe.
Nowt better than to grab a couple of fishcakes and a portion of chips and have a wander down the prom on a nice evening.
Young staff who are quick, efficient and friendly.
Prices are good and portions are great - quality of product is always great - as with any business - consistancy in high standards is what brings repeat custom. -

Very disappointed this time. We have always called for an 'OAP'S special which was good value but today, the fish was running in grease and the chips were full of 'eyes'. Stall are always friendly enough but I don't think we will go back.
